Q1. Will test takers see their scores at the test center in the computer-delivered test After completing the computer-delivered GRE General Test, test takers will be given the opportunity to Report or Cancel their scores. If the test taker chooses to Report Scores, he/she will see the unofficial scores for the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning measures at the test center. Because of the Analytical Writing essay scoring process, test takers will not be able to view their Analytical Writing score at the testing center.
Although test takers have the option to cancel the scores, consider very carefully before doing so because the score reporting choices available with the Score Select option allow to report only the scores one feel which reflect their personal best.
If test takers cancel their scores, neither they nor any schools will ever see the scores and will not be part of their reportable history. If one select to report the scores, test taker will view the unofficial scores on the screen and the score will become a part of the reportable history.
The official scores will be available in test takers ETS Account and sent to the score recipients approximately 10–15 days after the test date.
Q2. What scores are reported? Three scores are reported on the GRE General Test:

    ✦ A Verbal Reasoning score is reported on a 130–170 score scale, in 1-point increments.
    ✦ A Quantitative Reasoning score is reported on a 130–170 score scale, in 1-point increments.
    ✦ An Analytical Writing score is reported on a 0–6 score level, in half-point increments.

Q3. How do test takers send their scores to an institution? The test fee entitles test takers to request that scores be sent to as many as four graduate institutions or fellowship sponsors at no additional cost.

    ✦ For the computer-delivered GRE General Test, test takers will be asked to designate their score recipients at the test center or can choose not to report the scores at that time.
    ✦ For the paper-delivered GRE General Test, test takers will be asked to designate the score recipients during registration or can choose not to report their scores at that time.

With the Score Select option, test taker can decide which test scores to send to the institutions they designate, so test takers can send the scores they feel which show their personal best.
Test takers can also send score reports to institutions after test day for a fee.
Q4. When will the official scores be reported? If Test takers take the computer-delivered GRE General Test, his/her official scores will be available in their ETS Account and sent to the institutions they designated approximately 10–15 days after the test date.
If test takers take the paper-delivered test, his/her official scores will be available in their ETS Account and sent to the institutions they designated within five weeks after the test date.
Q5. Can a test taker view their scores online? Yes. If once the official scores are reported, test taker will receive an email from ETS indicating that they can view the scores online free of charge through the ETS Account.
