Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the IBPS PO Exam Pattern, IBPS PO Exam Syllabus and primarily IBPS PO Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.
The IBPS PO/MT selection process has three phases. The first two phases (Preliminary exam and Main exam) are written exams (conducted online). The third phase is a Personal Interview conducted by a selection panel.

IBPS PO - Exam Duration – Important Notes:
  • The duration of the IBPS PO Preliminary examination is 1 hour, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 2 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.

  • The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.

  • The duration of the IBPS PO Main examination is 3 hours 30 minutes, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 4 hours or more: for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
