Coding – Decoding – Quiz 7

shape Introduction

A code is ‘arrangement of signs’. Accordingly, coding is a process for transmitting a message between the sender and the recipient without a third individual knowing it.
The coding and decoding test is set up to judge the candidate’s capacity to interpret the rule that codes a specific word/message and break the code to interpret the word. The article Coding - Decoding - Quiz 7 presents the important questions related coding and decoding topic.
Coding and decoding are divided into eight types. They are: 1. Letter coding 2. Direct letter coding 3. Number/Symbol coding 4. Matrix coding 5. Substitution coding 6. Deciphering message word coding 7. Deciphering number and symbol codes for messages 8. Jumbled coding
In this type of Coding Decoding questions,
  • some messages are given in the coded language

  • the code for a particular word or a message is asked

Points to remember while solving this Coding Decoding questions:
  • Compare any two messages bearing a common word.

  • Compare the codes of these two messages to find a common code-word.

  • This common code word will represent the common word in the message.

  • Repeat the same by picking all the possible combinations of common words from messages.

  • Thus the entire message can be decoded and the codes for individual words can be found.
