The IBPS RRB Group B selection process has two phases. The first phase is the Preliminary Exam and the second phase is the Main exam which is conducted online.

IBPS RRBs Office Assistants (Multi-purpose) Prelim Exam has a duration of 45 minutes.
IBPS RRBs Office Assistants (Multi-purpose) Main Exam has a duration of 2 Hours.

IBPS RRB Group B - Office Assistant (Multi-purpose) - Exam Duration – Important Notes:
- The duration of the IBPS RRB Officer Assistant (Multi-purpose) Preliminary examination is 45 minutes, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 1 hour or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
- The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.
- The duration of the IBPS RRB Officer Assistant (Multi-purpose) Main examination is 2 hours but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 3 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
