1. Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)? Common Written Exam for RRB is being conducted by IBPS in online mode for both Prelims and Mains exams.
2. Are there any major changes? No, the pattern of the examination is same as last year.
3. What is the age criteria to apply for this common written exam? For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager) - Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1980 and later than 31.05.1999 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager) - Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1988 and later than 30.06.1999 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager) - Above 18 years - Below 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1990 and later than 30.06.2002 (both dates inclusive)

Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager) Information Technology Officer Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics/ Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. One year (in the relevant field)
Chartered Accountant Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India One Year as a Chartered Accountant.

5. I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam? Yes, You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for both the posts of Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants.
6. Is the exam Bilingual? The tests except for the Test of English Language/Hindi Language in Mains exam all others will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
1. What is the application Fee? Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Rs. 850 /- for all others
2. When will the registration start? Registration will start from 01.07.2020 and will end on 21.07.2020.
3. I have given my final year graduation exams but the result has not been declared yet. Can I apply? All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 04.07.2019.
4. Should I submit the OBC Certificates while applying for the IBPS RRB Posts? No, It’s not needed during the time of applying. It’s needed only during the interview and at the time of verification of documents. For Officer (Scale I, II, III): Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificates at the time of the interview, if shortlisted. (Officer Scale – 1, 2 and 3).
5. Can I make changes in the application form after submission? No. Particulars mentioned in the online application will be considered final and no change/modifications will be allowed after submission of the online application form. Hence the application needs to be filled with utmost care.
1. Do I need a hard copy/printout of the IBPS RRB Admit Card? Yes, you will need it before the exam commences.
2. Can the IBPS RRB Admit Card be used for all exams conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection? No, it’ll be used only once for this particular exam only.
3. What if I am unable to download my IBPS RRB Admit Card? It means you’re not entering the correct credentials -DOB/Registration number etc.

1. What is the cut-off for being recruited? There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Mains Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process.
2. Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam? Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear every section.
3. I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general awareness section. Am I still eligible? Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section individually and the overall cutoff as well.
4. Is there a criterion for negative marking? There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
5. Should I be careful while selecting the region? Yes, as you should be proficient in that region's regional language and you might have to undergo a language proficiency test in the selection procedure.
6. What is the penalty for the wrong answers? There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
7. How is the exam evaluated to make final merit list? Officer Scale-1: Prelims is qualifying. Marks obtained in main exam will be considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit list. Officer Scale-2 and 3: Marks obtained in the single exam will be considered for shortlisting for the interview and final merit list.

2. Will there be any interview after the written result? Yes. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for the post of Officers Scale I and in the single level examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III under CRP- RRB-VII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be co-ordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.

Is there any interview for IBPS RRB Posts? There is no prelims exam for Officer Scale II and III and no interview round for Office Assistant posts. Candidates applying for the post of Officers Scale II and Scale III shall be selected on the basis of Single Online Examination and Interview.
1. Is any Computer Knowledge Certificate mandatory for applying? IBPS has clearly mentioned in the official notification that Computer Knowledge is desirable. You should have proper knowledge about the functioning of computers since you’ll have to eventually work on them in office. However, certification in this field is not mandatory.
2. From where should I fill up Hindi Language as the preferred language for the exam? Option to choose Hindi/ English Language, in which you will attempt the exam will be available at the exam centre before the exam starts. In the application form, you need to fill out the languages that you are familiar with.
3. Which language should I prefer, Hindi or English in the Exam? Will marks be normalised in these sections? As per official IBPS notification, ‘The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculation’. So, prefer the subject on which you have a better hold and try to score as many marks as possible.
4. What should I fill under ‘Address for GST Invoicing’? The option has been provided this year to identify the concerned state for which GST invoicing will be done. Try to fill the address of the state from which you are applying.
