How can an aspirant register for SAT?
For any eligible aspirant willing to take the SAT has two options for registration, which are;
  • Online Registration – this entails a test taker to access the College Board Website using a convenient web browser in a phone or PC.

  • Postal Mail Registration – this involves or requires the aspirant or test taker to get a SAT Paper Registration Guide from the School College Guidance Office.

  • Phone Registration – this is available for aspirants or test takers that have previously registered or have taken SAT before, and additional fee is incurred.

How can an aspirant make Payment for SAT Registration?
There are two methods available through which a test taker can pay for SAT fee, which are;
  • Credit or Debit Card – This option is only available and a must for an aspirant using the online SAT registration method to pay for SAT Registration fees.

  • Bank Cheque or Money Order – this is an option that must be adapted by aspirants using the SAT post mail registration method to pay for SAT registration fees.

  • Others – PayPal and Bank draft

Registration Fees

Basically the fee is between US $52.50 – US $101.50 depending on the country an aspirant is applying from or will take the Test in. Note the following;
  • The Basic SAT – i.e. the type of SAT without essay has its registration fee as $47.50

  • SAT with Essay – has the registration fee as $64.50

  • Late registration – additional fee of $29

  • Phone Registration – additional fee of $15

  • Waitlist Testing – additional fee of $51 and available for aspirants who missed the regular and late SAT registration deadlines. An aspirant can check SAT waitlist testing for more details on the criteria for applying.

  • Change charge – available for aspirants who wish to make changes to the test date, exam center or test type and a fee of $29 is required.

  • Score Report – it requires an additional fee of $12 per report and is available for aspirants who demands for each score report apart from the four included during the registration fee or the reports requested after test date. Registration Deadline

For SAT registration, there are two categories of deadline which are;
  • Regular Registration Deadline – this occurs or said to be about four or three weeks before the test date.

  • Late Registration Deadline – is typically about three or two weeks to the test date.

An aspirant can check the SAT Test Dates and Deadlines for 2018-2019 as released by the College Board to view the regular and late registration deadlines pertaining to certain test dates.

These procedures follow the registration methods and are exclusively for aspirant that are 13 years older and above. They guides include;
  • Open the web browser from a PC or phone and type in www.collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register on the address bar.

  • Click on the Register for the SAT tab when the website opens.

  • Enter your login details and click login if you already have an account or click on create account and fill in the details if you don’t have an account.

  • Provide the a full and legal name, other identifying details required and they should all be exactly the same with the information on your Photo ID.

  • An aspirant should decide or not to fill the SAT Questionnaire asked, but is of benefit if a college or scholarship board can locate a test taker through the Student Service Search.

  • Tick whether to take the SAT with Essay or not depending on the College Essay Policies.

  • Upload a photo based on SAT Photo Requirements.

  • Complete registration and print out Admission Ticket.

These guidelines are for aspirants that are Below 13 Years Old, requesting for Testing Closer to Home or Sunday Testing, paying by cheque or money back, Unable to Upload Digital Photo and registering through SAT international representatives. They guides include;
  • An aspirant should obtain a Student Registration Booklet for SAT and SAT Subject Tests with a Registration form and Return Envelope from the test taker Counselor.

  • Fill out the College Board Code either high school or home-school, Test Center Code, Photo ID as SAT Requires, Cheque Slip and every information required (indicated with *) in the registration form to avoid processing delays.

  • Send the above documents and mail them together with the reason for registering through mail to U.S International Deadlines for international aspirants or U.S Deadlines for US aspirants.
