Introduction
Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the SBI PO Exam Pattern, SBI PO Exam Syllabus and primarily SBI PO Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.
The SBI PO selection process has two phases. The first phase is Preliminary Exam and the second phase is Main exam which are conducted online.
Duration
1. SBI PO Exam Duration - Preliminary Exam:

ii. Descriptive Test:
The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
3. SBI PO Exam Duration – Important Notes:
- The duration of the SBI PO Preliminary examination is 1 hour, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 2 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
- The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test.
- The duration of the SBI PO Main examination is 3 hours, but, the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 4 hours or more : for completion of formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions, etc.
