Reasoning Ability is an important section in the employment related competitive exams in India. In particular, exams like IBPS, SBI and other bank related employment exams have Reasoning questions along with Quantitative Aptitude. The Reasoning section primarily has questions related to the Syllogism, Directions, and Inequality , Puzzles, Blood Relations, Seating Arrangements, etc. Seating Arrangement Practice Quiz provides with quiz questions to ace the seating arrangement concept.
As the words suggest seating arrangement is to seat a given group of people in a manner that all the listed guidelines and details are followed. There is no fixed pattern for solving questions of Seating Arrangement topic. The process to answering seating arrangement questions involves arranging the group of people as per the given conditions. Seating Arrangements are generally classified into 4 types:
  • Linear Arrangement: In the Linear arrangement, the seating of the persons is linear i.e. we have to arrange them in a line. Here generally a single row of arrangement is formed.

  • Double Row Arrangement: In Double Row Arrangement, there will be two groups of persons. We have to arrange one group in one row and the other group in other row. The persons in these rows normally face each other.

  • Circular Seating Arrangement: In the circular seating arrangement, persons have to be arranged around a circular table fulfilling certain conditions.

  • Rectangular Arrangement: Rectangular arrangements are almost similar to the circular arrangements; the only difference is that the persons are sitting around a rectangular table.
