Introduction
Understanding the exam pattern and syllabus will help the candidates in devising effective preparation strategies. Speed/ Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam and hence, analysis of SSC JHT Exam Pattern and syllabus is very crucial to be able to complete the exams in the stipulated time.
SSC JHT Selection Process shall involve three stages: Paper-I – Computer Based Examination, Paper-II – Descriptive Test and Document Verification (DV). Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of all recruitment stages.
Pattern
The examination will consist of two papers. Paper-I will be held on 06.10.2020 and Paper- II to be notified later.

Note-I : Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Paper-II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain the minimum qualifying standard in Paper-I or part there of as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.
Note-II : Mobile Phones, Calculators or any other electronic / electrical device are strictly banned in the Examination Hall.
Note-III : There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Note-IV : The Commission may at its discretion, fix qualifying marks in Paper-II.

Tie Cases
Resolution Of Tie Cases:
In cases where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregate marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another :-

(1) Total marks in the written examination.
(2) Marks in Paper-I .
(3) Marks in Paper-II.
(4) Date of birth with older candidates placed higher.
(5) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appear.
