Time management is vital in obtaining a good score in any competitive exam. Thus, knowledge of the SSC MTS Exam Pattern, SSC MTS Recruitment Exam Syllabus and primarily SSC MTS Exam Duration is very crucial to increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity and primarily to be able to complete the exams in the allotted exam duration.
SSC MTS Selection Process shall involve three stages: Paper-I - Computer Based Examination, Paper-II - Descriptive Test and Document Verification (DV). Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of all recruitment stages.

  • The Computer Based Examination is Objective Type in nature consist of Multiple choice questions.

  • The dates of examinations indicated below are tentative. Any change in the schedule of examinations will be informed to the candidates through the website of the Commission.

  • 90 Minutes is the Time Duration for all the four part.

  • 120 Minutes is the Time Duration for the candidates eligible for scribes.

  • The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.

  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-II will be of descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

  • 30 Minutes is the Time Duration for writing a Short Essay/Letter.

  • 40 Minutes is the Time Duration for the candidates eligible for scribes.

  • Subject Maximum Marks Time Duration
    Short Essay/Letter in English or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. 50 30 minutes (40 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribes)
