The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), a constitutional body, established under Article 315 of Constitution of India was formed on June 2, 2014. Created by the Constitution of India, TSPSC is primarily responsible for recruiting aspirants for civil services jobs in the Indian state of Telangana based on the merits of the applicants, the recruitment exams and the rules of reservation. TSPSC ensures a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Telangana by recruiting eligible candidates for various Government posts. The official website of TSPSC was launched on 11 April 2015, by governor E. S. L. Narasimhan. Ghanta Chakrapani was appointed as the first chairman for TSPSC, who is a professor at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University. The establishment of the commission was a significant landmark during the Asaf Jahi rule and was responsible for bringing the entire administrative machinery of civil services of the Nizam's State in tune with the modern times. Hyderabad Civil Service was considered a coveted and elite service in those days.

Organisation/Hierarchy Telangana State Public Service Commission is headed by the Chairman with three additional members, all appointed by the Governor of Telangana. As of April 2015 the Commission consists of a Chairman and 3 members. The names of the members are:
    1. Shri Prof Ghanta Chakrapani (Chairman)
    2. Shri C.Vittal (Telangana Activist)
    3. Smt Dr.Banoth Chandravathi(Ex-MLA)
    4. Shri Dr. Mohd. Mateenuddin Quadri (Social Activist)

Telangana Forest Department is one of the administrative divisions of Government of Telangana. It is headed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. The primary function of this department is protection, conservation, and management of forests in the Telangana State. The overall objective of the Telangana Forest Department is to conserve biodiversity and eco-systems of forests and wilderness areas to ensure water security and food security of the state. Wildlife and wildlife habitats should be conserved and sustainably managed to meet the social, economic, ecological, cultural, recreational and spiritual needs of the present and future generations of people in the state. The Forest Department is organized into 12 territorial circles and 23 divisions. In addition, one Senior Officer of the rank of Deputy Conservator of Forests functions as Planning and Extension Officer in each district.

Forest Beat Officer (FBO), should know the boundaries of his beat thoroughly and prevent encroachment, and protect his beat against injury from fire or other causes. A beat officer should petrol the forests constantly in his beat to prevent offenses, and where the offenses are detected he/she must record the offense in the Form – A and submit it promptly to Range Officer. He/she should maintain the boundary lines and boundary marks in forest blocks in proper order and repair. A beat officer should cut creepers and climbers during his perambulation in the Forests. He/she should keep the signboards and name boards of forests, Plantation in good condition and repair. Beat officer should check forest produce in transit and see that the forest produce is not removed except in accordance with the transit rules. A beat officer should control and supervise over such of the works as ordered by Section Officer and Range Officer. Beat officer should carry out silvicultural works such as sowing, Plantings, nursery works, Collection of seeds, Creeper cutting, pruning, thinning and other cultural operations as ordered by Section Officer and Range Officer. He/she should wear his uniform whenever on duty and carry the Forms A.B.C. books, diary book, bill book, beat map etc., Beat officer should affix on illicitly cut stumps of trees in the forest, a hammer mark prescribed for the purpose, make a note of the exact locality, description and number of such stumps in his diary book and report about them to the Range Officer. Where such hammer marks are not found and when to refer to the report made can be produced, it will be presumed that the Forest Guard has failed to petrol and perform his functions properly. He/she should submit all his reports to the Section Officer and the Range Officer promptly and submit his weekly diaries promptly.
