The RBI Grade B Selection Process for General Post involves two phases: Phase I and Phase II followed by an Interview. The RBI Grade B Selection Process for DEPR/DSIM Posts involves three phases: Paper I, Paper-II and Paper III followed by an Interview.

RBI Gr B – (DR) – General – Exam Pattern:
Phase I will comprise a single Paper for 200 marks consisting of 4 Sections as follows. A composite time of 120 minutes will be given for answering.

The Phase-II online Examination will be conducted only for the candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of results of Phase-I. The Phase-II examination will be in shifts. Candidates are required to appear for all shifts. Phase–II online examination will consist of three papers as under:

Interview will be of 50 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies.

The candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

RBI Gr B – (DR) – DEPR/DSIM – Exam Pattern:
Selection will be through Online/ Written Examination (WE) and interview. There are 3 papers for the Examination.

Paper-I Online Examination:
Paper I Objective Type (on Economics & Statistics). A composite time of 120 minutes will be given for answering Paper I. Candidates have to secure minimum marks as may be prescribed by the Board.
Paper-II Online Examination:
Paper II Descriptive Type (on Economics). A composite time of 180 minutes will be given for answering Paper II. The Question paper for paper II will be displayed on computer and answers to be written on paper. Candidates have to secure minimum marks as may be prescribed by the Board.
Paper-III Online Examination:
Paper II Paper III Descriptive Type (on English). A composite time of 90 minutes will be given for answering Paper III. The Question paper for paper II will be displayed on the computer and answers to be typed with the help of a keyboard. Candidates have to secure minimum marks as may be prescribed by the Board.
Interview:
The number of candidates to be called for interview will be decided by the Board. Final selection will be on the basis of performance in the ‘WE’ and interview taken together.
