Most of the Clerks & Junior Associates of other banks also appear for SBI Clerk Exam which makes it a lot harder to crack. Performance and potential are the key elements which determine SBI Clerk JA Career Progression at State Bank of India.

Many of you would be wondering about getting transfers if posted in a distant branch. Junior Associates are not eligible for transfers within or outside the state for the first 5 years of service (8 years for candidates selected under special recruitment drive for Tura and Kashmir Valley & Ladakh).
So if you get posted in a branch, away from your hometown – you need to work in that branch only for the first 5 years. After that, your transfer request may be taken up based on seniority & vacancy position.
