Prospective Candidates can register online at SSC CPO Official Website to submit the SSC CPO Online Application form. No other mode of application is accepted. Online application form is issued for the SSC CPO 2019 notification will be available from 17-06-2020 to 16-07-2020.

This chapter provides a Quick Guide and a Detailed Guide (with elaborate instructions) for filling Online Application for SSC CPO 2020. Candidates should have to do the following before applying for SSC CPO recruitment process.
  • Scan the photograph and signature.

  • Have the necessary details (name, date of birth, etc.) ready before going for online registration.

  • Have the Credit card/Debit card available for the payment of online fee.

  • Have a valid email Id and phone number as the candidates would be communicated through email and phone number.
The online application process for SSC CPO 2019 is an easy procedure, provided, the candidates have all the required data before starting the process.
  1. Candidates must apply online through the SSC Official Website -> Apply -> CAPF.

  2. Candidates should read the instructions given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the online one time Registration Form/ Application Form.

  3. After reading the instructions, candidates should move to the Registration Part and fill up the online Registration Form.

  4. In the Registration Part, candidates will have to fill in basic information relating to them. On submission of details, candidates shall be prompted to check the details and make, corrections, if any, before submitting the Form.

  5. Candidate should provide all the required details while filling up the Online Registration/ Application Forms. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign.

  6. On submission of the Registration Form, Registration ID and password will be provided. Note down the Registration ID and password and keep them safely. This would be your permanent Registration ID & Password which would be required to apply for this examination as well as any other Recruitment Examination of the Commission.

  7. After submission of the Registration Form, candidate should upload his/ her latest colour photograph and signature. The photograph and signature and must be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format. The digital size of the photograph must be more than 4 KB and less than 20 KB. The digital size of the signature must be more than 1 KB and less than 12 KB.

  8. The Registration becomes complete only after the photograph and signature are uploaded by the candidate.

  9. After completion of the Registration Part the candidates should proceed to fill up the Online Application Form.

  10. After filling online application, the candidates are required to make fee payment (Candidates who are exempted from fee payment are not required to pay fee). Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/SBI Net Banking or by using Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro Credit/ Debit cards.

  11. On Successful fee payment, your application will be complete. You may take printout of this application for your own record but you are not required to submit this printout to the Commission.
Application fee: Fee payable: Rs. 100/-(Rupees One Hundred only). Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa/ Mastercard/ Maestro Credit/ Debit card.
Candidates may note that online application will be accepted at SSC Website only. Fee paid in respect of online application through SBI Challan/Net banking and any credit and debit cards will be accepted.

Payment:
✦ The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.
✦ On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated; which may be printed for record. The printout of the application form is not to be sent to the Bank.
✦ If the online transaction is not completed successfully, please register again and make payment online.
✦ There is also a provision to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at the later stage.
SSC CPO Application: 1. Candidates must apply online on SSC CPO Official Website >Apply>CPO.
2. Candidates should read the instructions given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the online one time 'Registration Form'/ Application Form.
Procedure for Online Submission of Application:
1. The Commission has devised a simplified format for the online application procedure. In the process candidates may register once and may apply for any examination conducted by SSC.
2. Only online applications will be entertained for this examination. The facility of on-line application will be available from 17-09-2019 to 16-10-2019 (up to 5.00 pm). However, candidates who wish to make the payment through challan of SBI, may make the payment to designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 19-10-2019 provided the challan has been generated by them before 5.00 PM on 18-10-2019. Candidates should retain the Registration ID assigned to them online and details of payment of fee for further correspondence with the Commission. They should not submit print out of their application to the Commission.
3. The online submission of the application may be made at Official Staff Selection Commission website. Candidate should read the instructions in this Notice carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should provide all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign. The filling of online application contains two parts: Registration Part (In case not registered earlier) and Application Part.
4. In Registration Part, candidates will have to fill basic information and upload their photograph and signature. On submission of these details, candidates shall be prompted to check the details and make any correction in the registration.
5. Then a candidate can proceed to fill online application with Registration ID and password provided in the one-time registration process. The application procedure is incomplete without application part. Application part requires filling of information about choice of centres, education qualification, post preference, making payment of examination fee, etc.
6. To pay fee in cash, candidates should take print-out of the challan generated online after completion of Application Part and deposit the requisite fee in designated branch of State Bank of India and then continue within the stipulated date and time.
7. Request for change/ correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Staff Selection Commission will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of non acceptance of any correction/ addition/ deletion in any particular filled in application form whatever the reasons may be. Photograph Image:
  • The photographs used by the candidates must be a recent, relaxed face.

  • The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white background.

  • If flash is used then ensure that there should be no red-eye and, in case of glasses, eyes should be visible.

  • The face should not cover less than 80% of the entire photo.

  • Photograph should be of JPG format and its size should be between 4kB to 20kB.

Signature Image:
  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

  • The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.

  • The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary.

  • If the Applicant’s signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Hall Ticket, the applicant will be disqualified.

  • The signature must be uploaded in JPG format.

  • The digital size of the signature file must be in the range of 1-12 kB.

Scanning the Photograph and Signature:
  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).

  • Set Color to True Color.

  • File Size as specified above.

  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

  • The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon.

  • Candidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50KB & 20KB respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager.

Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature:
  1. There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature.

  2. Click on the respective link “Upload Photograph/Signature”.

  3. Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo / Signature file has been saved.

  4. Select the file by clicking on it.

  5. Click the ‘Upload’ button.

Important Points to consider:
  • Make sure to enter all the details correctly. Do not misspell any important information especially the Names, Degrees and every other detail. Any discrepancies/mismatches will result in getting debarred from the selection process.

  • Online Application will not be registered unless the candidate uploads a photograph and signature as specified.

  • In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear the candidate’s application may be rejected.

  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application forms after registering.

  • In case the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate may edit his application and re-upload his photograph or signature.

2. What is cost of application for CPO Exam? SSC is very economical, when it comes to Application fees. SSC only charges, Rs. 100 as examination fees. Moreover, Female candidates and Reserved category candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
3. I have 45% marks in 12th, can i fill this form? Central govt. recruitment is based on merit system, for this they conduct written exam. Less marks in 12th does not create any problem. There is no such specific criteria, you can go ahead.
4. How to apply for SSC CPO 2019 Exam? Applications must be submitted only in online mode through Official Website.
5. How can I apply for SSC CPO? You can apply online only. Online application is available from 17-09-2019 to 16-10-2019. You can use your debit cards to for the payment or if you do not have a debit card you can visit to get challan from nearby SBI branch. You must get challan before 18-10-2019 (5 pm).
