shape Introduction

Prospective candidates of SSC CGL 2019, should qualify as per the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications, Age Limit, and, Nationality to apply for the position of SSC CGL. The eligibility criterion are described in the below sections.


Education/Academic Qualifications Nationality Age limit
1. Graduation degree from recognized university or institution.
2. Candidates in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01-01-2020.
Note: No minimum percentage unless specified in the notifications.

  • Nepal,
  • Bhutan,
  • Tibetan refugee

2. Migrated People from Pakistan, Burma, Zaire, Sri Lanka, Zambia, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are allowed to give exam.

1. Age Limit: 18 27 years.
2. Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Others as covered under Govt Act.

The SSC CGL Eligibility criterion are described in detail in below sections:

A candidate must be either:


    (a) a citizen of India, or


    (b) a subject of Nepal, or


    (c) a subject of Bhutan, or


    (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or


    (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age limit will be reckoned as on 01-01-2020:

5. For the post for which age limit is up to 32 years Candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1988 and not
later than 01-01-2002.


  • Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

  • Permissible relaxation in upper age limit and category-codes for claiming age relaxation are as follows:

Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for Group „C‟ posts only
10 Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application. Up to 40 years of age
11 Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application. Up to 45 years of age
12 Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried. Up to 35 years of age
13 Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (SC/ ST). Up to 40 years of age

The candidates should have graduation in any stream are eligible to apply for SSC CGL 2020.

Assistant Audit Officer Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University
OR
Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies
Statistical Investigator Grade – II Post Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation
Compiler Posts Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective Subject
All Other Posts Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a
recognized University or equivalent
