  • 'Artificial Neural Networks' (ANN) are AI models and programs that mimic the working of the human brain so that machines can learn to make decisions in a more human-like manner.

  • Modern ANNs, often also called Deep Learning (DL), have increased tremendously in complexity such that machines can train themselves to process and learn from data that has been supplied to them as input, and almost match human performance in many tasks.

  • Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will declare the result of combined higher secondary level (CHSL) exam 2018 paper 1 today, on September 11.

  • SSC had earlier notified through its updated calendar that the SSC CHSL 2018 result will be released on September 11. Candidates can expect the result anytime soon,

  • SSC CHSL exam was conducted from July 1 to 11 for which over 29 lakh candidates had registered while 13 .17 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. SSC had released the final answer keys on July 23.

  • Life insurance companies have approached the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) for permission to start selling indemnity-based health insurance products once again, although general insurance companies are not too happy with the proposal.

  • “Given the low penetration of health insurance in the country, there is enough scope and also requirement for sale of more of these products. Life insurance companies already sell protection for critical diseases such as cancer cover, and also have a huge distribution network across the country, which can be used to sell health insurance,” said two persons familiar with the development, adding that they have approached the regulator on the issue.
